P41 "Lykan" - Gauss Rifle Model by PHATandy P41 "Lykan" - Gauss Rifle Model by PHATandy
More experimentation with technique for how I build up interesting surfaces and shapes. Was only semi-successful since some of the interesting textures are lost under the 'hand' painted parts.

Looks kickass. It actually makes me think of a Mecha Pyramid Head. lol

Thanks, although I'm sure a proper mecha pyramid head would probably involve much more gore and blood haha.

Inspired by the collectors from Mass Effect 2, isnt it?

Surprisingly not, although I can the resemblance in the shape of the head. I haven't actually played Mass Effect 2, it got boring rather quickly for me, so I stopped.
Probably more inspired by some of the shapes and details in Metal Gear Solid 4, like the little ball eye things. Some of the designs in MGS4 are great.

also the hard transition between the floor and wall stands out a lot to me, its too jarring. its a minor point but itd help with the focus if you made it less noticeable

Indeed, good call. I'll soften it, maybe block it up with some little props. Some cool like batteries or cables and shit. Thanks bro.

That's no doubt a very good success. I can see you've paid lots of work on both angular surface designs.

Thanks very much! It was a success I suppose, I just lost a little bit of my original intentions I think.

Well, you still possess your technique at least. Try to get idea and make research before start, those can help for the originality. :)

Good to hear that. I'm sure that'd be better to wait and see it.
